bird poop / sap - spot cleaning, ceramic coated

Recently saw a post that said chemical guys, who claim to be pH neutral took their ceramic coating off..

If you don’t use chemical guys waterless car wash or ecosmart waterless carwash - What do you recommend for spot cleaning a ceramic coated car - ie. Bird poop, sap..

I should add, I’ve been using Adam’s ceramic waterless wash as a drying agent, but not sure that will be enough to take off something like bird poop. Absolutely need something ceramic coating safe though!

If I notice bird poop on my car, by time I get home in the garage I just pour done distilled water on it and majority goes away just from that. If it doesn't, I just pour more water on it but at the same time gently wipe it away with a microfiber.
Have done it after its been sitting in the sun all day too and still comes off with ease

The detailer who did my car advised completely against chemical guys for that reason

Why distilled? And what about just microwaved hot tap water?

Also has anyone tried the GRIOT’S quick detail aka. Speed shine for the above purpose? Is it safe on ceramic coatings to remove bird poop and sap? Don’t want to disrupt the ceramic coating.

I’ve been using Adam’s Ceramic Waterless wash to get rid of fingerprints and to use as a drying agent for isolated areas after going over the car with a leaf blower to dry it. This has left the areas of application slick. Is this formula enough to get rid of sap/bird poop without marring? Is this or Griots above better for bird poop and/or sap on a ceramic coated car?

This is all assuming distilled water doesn’t work for me.

Because a gallon of distilled water is $1 and it's soft water without the minerals and hard components in tap water

Microwaved Tap Water just makes your water hot with radiation. Distilled Water is very different lol. It's made from the STEAM from boiling water.

Distilled water seems like a good option to try. And if that doesn’t work, I’ll just pressure wash it off. And if that doesn’t get all of it off, I know the company that makes my ceramic coating makes some products that they say work well.

Thanks

a quick detailer (Griott's speed shine or Meguire's quick detailer) and a micro fiber towel work well to remove "presents from heaven". Liberally apply the quick detailer, give it a minute or so and gently wipe it off. I have used that approach for many years on my cars (all black) without leaving any scratches or damage.

Just get out and drive! Unless you’re parked under trees or power lines all the time then what’re really the odds of a bird sniping you? Lol.

If the coating is good it should come off like this. This was after it sat in the sun most of the day, barely used any pressure on the microfiber towel

Went with distilled water mixed with the waterless car wash who makes my ceramic coating. Hopefully I won’t have to use it, lol.

Thx
