Never say never — the iDrive on my M240i at least offers you the option on various nav maps to use when you splits screens using CarPlay. The navigation directions for the map chosen are also displayed on one of the quadrants. Can't be toooo hard to go from that to displaying those on the HUD 🤷*♂️
