TPMS Malfunction. Reset freezes at 49%.

I was driving on the interstate and the TPMS malfunction warning came on. On lunch I inflated all my tires to the exact recommended 33.0psi spec and then drove around town going thro the reset process on idrive. during the reset the warning went away. and the idrive reset percentage went up to 49% and then froze there. after remaining on that screen it auto stopped the rest and went back to the TPMS malfunction screen. What should I do next? has anyone else encountered this. I would really appreciate the help before I either buy an obd scanner or go to the dealer.
