Sorry, the SA was confused on these two cars, or at least their descriptions. Now he says that they are both 6MT, and it's the blue one with all the MPerformance stuff on it.

I'm told the LBB has no apple car play or id be all over it. Was looking for a LBB with exec 6MT and Apple car play.

Both 6MT cars are ~$65000 MSRP. I wonder how long does it take to sell these 2. Let's see. This will be a good indication of how hot M2 is around Seattle Area.

IMO don't hold off on the car because of Apple CarPlay. I would rather enjoy the car than have to wait and then experience what other users have repeatedly mentioned about it not being that good. I had it in one of my other cars and it was a touchscreen radio so it was cool and easy to use, not sure how it would be with the M2 screen not being touchscreen.

Amazing. BMW Seattle still has a ~2 year waiting list for allocations. I expect that these, even though one is highly optioned, will be gone very shortly. There's a LOT of money in the Seattle and Bellevue area just waiting to pounce on these cars.

That certainly implies to me that nobody on the list wanted these cars. I can see how some might have turned these down because they wanted a DCT, for example, or an MG car, or didn't want all the MPerformance stuff charged at full MSRP it turns out both are loaded with. But everybody on the list? Something doesn't sound right to me. Either that list is much shorter than we've been told, or everybody on it somehow is extremely price (or color or transmission) sensitive--which doesn't comport with the theory that there are lots of Big Buck Chucks in this area who can't wait to get their hands on an M2... ... |

If you want a car, I have an order in LA that's arriving 11/5. LBB DCT with MPE. Due to some financial issues I can't really take it right now. I paid a finder's fee ($2000) in order to buy the car. I am not trying to make money off it, just asking my finder's fee back. Well I am not even sure if it's a finder's fee... Maybe someone just sold me his allocation.... I took it because I thought 2k over is better than 10k over...

Seattle BMW...The saga just gets stranger.
I like the guys at the Seattle dealer, i really do, but the whole thing seems really disorganized and chaotic. Throughout the process I was never able to actually assess where I was at on the list. It was always "You're somewhere around 3 or 4 on the list." Never a specific slot with the exception of when I put my deposit down. In any case, I was #16 on the list at time of deposit and I made it into the 2nd round of allocations. My VIN will be about the 8th or 9th M2 they deliver. So somewhere in the neighborhood of 50% of that list, from 1 to 16, has evaporated. Folks like BruceM either sourced elsewhere, or simply walked away for one reason or another. |
