I'm hoping this is the case for the US market.

I did find out today that you can get the carbon wheels for the car; $15,000 option.

But Porsche can sell LWBS in their GT cars?

Been discussed many times. The side airbag is in the door on the porsche and built into the seats on the bmw 4 series.

Thanks for answering ! I can sleep in peace now. But just one more question: how come the M4 gets a cage in the US but the GT cars can't be sold with one here?

This is a question I forgot to ask them when I was at the M Studio and also during the M delivery day of the 45 GTS at the Welt when most of the engineers was in attendance.

To my knowledge, the M4 GTS is the first ever car model in China and North America to come with a roll cage. I don't know how they got around to making it legal, but I would assume some sort of crash testing was required for it to pass. Also North American cars comes with the added padding on the roll cage.

I'm guessing since the cage is standard, it was crash-tested with it versus Porsche GT cars where cages are optional.

That's correct.

Porsche never DOT certified them with the roll bars. Same goes for my McLaren 675LT
.
Can't get their lovely Titanium roll bar.
