Question Long Term / High Mileage Reliability on F39 (X2) XDrive28i Powertrain??

Currently at 74K on my 2018 X2 XDrive28i. I'm at the point where I need to determine whether I sell or trade it in OR roll the dice and keep driving it now that I'm outside of any warranty coverage.

I've tried to research this but can't find much on it. Does anyone know how this engine/powertrain is when it comes to long term reliability? Is it in any other vehicles that give us an idea of that by chance? Anyone able to offer some insight into this by chance?

Thanks.

I’m a new M35i owner so I can’t directly answer your question. I’ve owned BMWs for 15 years though and I have a very simple rule. If I pay more than $2000 USD in repairs across two or more failures in less than six months, get rid of the car and run because that pattern will accelerate.

Will? More likely to decelerate?

Ha! Depends on the frame of reference I guess. The car will decelerate. Your problems will accelerate.
