Looking for a decent watch winder.

Electric, quiet and must rotate both ways What are some of you using and recommend?

I've used Wolf watch winders and have generally been pleased with them. I've had a double and currently a quad winder.

I don`t own a watch winder so this might not be of help to you.

I probably own over 30 watches, and I learned at very young age that a watch winder is only good if you own watches with complex calendar displays.
The only watch that I own with a complex calendar display is a quartz movement watch.

If you only own simple date models, you don`t need a watch winder. It`s better to let a watch come to a complete stop once an a while, especially if you only wear it 5-6 times per year.

Keeping a watch on a winder that doesn't get much use and doesn't have a complex calendar, will only cause unnecessary wear.

I have had a Wolf double winder for over 15 years and it is still running strong! The only issue I had with the beautiful black leather case is that the glass front came loose as the glue must have dried out from old age and I had to apply fresh glue to secure it properly.

I would be inclined to get one that you find aesthetically pleasing, as the majority appear to have the same standard Mabuchi motor and gear unit.

I purchased mine on Amazon about 4 years ago, it s a dual winder, with a drawer underneath to store a couple of quartz watches.

I have replaced the motor twice, and the original gear unit was gears and belt, and after a couple of belts I replaced with a totally gear driven unit, and a new Mabuchi motor.

It has been going now for 6 months, no issues yet - fingers crossed.

My biggest issue is that since I purchased a Garmin watch I have not worn any of my nice watches in over a year!

Wolf. I have 4 of them holding automatic watches I regularly wear. The rest of my collections stays in my safe or in it's original box.

I have two of these, they seem to work fine. No complaints and been working for a few years. Nothing fancy, but do the job.

I got a Samsung galaxy watch about five years ago. Since then I've only worn my analog watches about ten times in that time period. I sold three of my nice watches, including a Daytona two tone, that I'm now kicking myself in the butt because their values are now 2x-3x more than what I sold them for. SMH.

I love my smartwatch because I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket to see who's calling or texting me while I am drilling on someone's tooth lol.

Smart watches have no souls. It would be like trading my 1200RT for an electric scooter.

This looks identical to the one I have. It's pretty quiet but not entirely silent. My only complaint is the sides of the pillow is coming off but I think some super glue will fix it.

I agree with you on that thought about the iPhone. However the Galaxy watch I have looks like a conventional watch. I swapped out the rubber band for a nice black anodized band and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. I also like that I can pay for things without using a card which is much more secure, especially at gas pumps where a lot of card readers are used down here to steal your info.

I also don't have to worry about someone pointing a gun at me demanding I give up my watch.

Why do you need a watch winder for your daily? Even cheap knockoffs generate enough during daily use to keep enough reserve for the next day.

I've run this heiden quad winder for 6 years now and have had no issues. usually running between 2-4 winders at a time. it's pretty quiet...doesnt bother my wife or me sleeping and it sits about 8-ft from our bed.

I have a Wolf Quad winder, a double and 2 Single winders. The singles are Green and Blue in color...don't use so willing to sell if interested?

I typically wear 2 Rolex's which I keep on a holder and rotate every other day. They go on the winder occasionaly. They hold power so long they don't need the winder. I also have a speedster which I wear a lot. Same deal.

I have a Wolf winder that is adequate, but picked up a Heiden double watch winder that appears to be equally excellent.

I complained that my Heritor Ashton was running +25 and the company sent me a second copy. I had the original regulated and bought the winder so that I could keep both watches running well. As it happens several months later I still haven't decided - the replacement runs about +7 seconds per day and the other -5. What I have decided is that with these watches it is better to wind them manually and leave them face up than use this winder: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08...e?ie=UTF8&th=1 It is quiet and seems to work. I'm buying another automatic with a Seiko movement - perhaps it will be better suited to the winder.
