I have a M3 sedan with stock 18s, and in the door it recommends 35 PSI all the way around the car. That seems to be WAY too juicy for carving up back roads. I even felt like the tires were rolling over a bit on the really right stuff. For 100mph runs the pressure is recommended to be 39/44. I figured I'd do a little lower than that for daily driving.

So last night I put 38 psi front and 42 psi rear. The car seems to handle so much better. Anyone find a better sweet spot for the stock 18" tires?

35 COLD sounds pretty close to correct. That would probably be just under 40 warm and over 40 if you are hitting it. Now that you have the tires where you like them, check the pressures in the morning before you drive off and let us know what they are at.

I'm running the the new M3 wheels and tires on my set-up e46 M3 with pressures set at 39 psi warm.

Even with 35psi cold the tires seemed way too juicy. Especially on some of the tighter roads around here. It's definitely more comfortable in daily use, but seems like it compromises handling a bit.

I would do 37 front and 34-35 rear.

Does the 37F 35R work well? it should make the back a bit loose. Any comments.

A higher pressure will make it loose if we are using the term in the same way. Less pressure means the tires will give you better traction but will be less responsive in terms of handling. If you were to jack the rear pressure up to lets say 40psi, then the rear end would likely come out faster due to there being less ultimate grip.
