Tire Change

Not sure if this has been posted/mentioned. I'm looking to get rid of the run-flats on the 2017 X1 that currently has 225/45-19. Has anyone swapped for a wider 255/40-19? They are very close in comparison when using a tire calculator. Plus, they must be a bit more common as they cost a bit less

Why would you want to? You don't need that extra contact patch, there are plenty of cheap options in the stock sizes.

I'm not looking for a cheap alternative so why not. More contact on the road, better handling and looks better. Hence why I have wider than stock on all of my vehicles. I'm more interested in the feedback from anyone that has something other than a stock/OEM size. The OEM size look narrow.
