Agreed but the taillights and hatchback look made it a little unique from the other models. I feel as though making it have a different fascia while retaining the same shape with better proportions would have made it a better overhaul than just making it a mini x6

Guess what, no one in here or this forum decides what BMW puts the M badge on. Only BMW does. It’s really pathetic to see all the hate especially when the push for full electric numb garbage is knocking at the door.
I'm sure most are mad because BMW "diluting" the M brand makes their M cars even less special than they already were. As someone who still aspires to own an M car, I'm starting to see M performance models as an absolute win for the many who just want rhe best worlds without all the compromises that come with owning the actual M.

Could anyone tell me what BMW would release in 2024?
It seems that all BMW series has got either a new generation or face-lift.
The oldest one is now the 3 series, which will be released in 2025 with the Neue Klass.
Probably the 2 Series Gran Coupe?
Any upcoming performance car or a new series? Like the 6 Series, X8, or M1?!
Any idea?
There will be a total of 5 M cars launching in 2024 for example:
- the next-generation hybrid drivetrain (the one from XM) M5 Sedan (G90) will land in 2024 together with the return of the M5 Touring (G99), the new M4 CS and the LCIs for current M3 and M4 models.

Not sure why everyone is crying over an entry-level crossover SUV. This is an entry-level car get over it.

I agree. This release has inspired me to revisit the X1 M35i. I’m assuming the X2 M35i will be slightly more expensive too.

This is what made the X2 unique and worth having in the lineup. They don’t need another SAC with a humpback, long, sloping tailgate like it’s a baby X4. I’m not going to bother commenting on all the other design fails as y’all have pretty much covered those.

Old X2 looks like trash imo. It’s 2024 this a perfect new design and will sell well. This is what buyers want.

If you read the comments you’ll see your opinion about this new design is way in the minority on this BMW forum. If you are correct this is what buyers want, then they don’t want BMWs anymore. As many posters have commented it would appear they want KIAs and Hyundais.

seriously. the outgoing X2 is so much better looking. the new X design language is just weird.

It’s not so much the shell or silouette, it’s the actual details. All the current BMW’s have the traditional BMW shell, but it’s everything else like bumper, headlights, taillights that ruin the design. Overall, the X2 now looks like a premium car in this segment, only for it to be ruined by a taillight design made to just be different.

That’s just what Bimmerpost elitists who always hate new model designs say. Cars are selling a ton in this segment despite the people on here who are a minority.
