Hello, We just purchased mineral grey 2020 X1 with 15,000 miles. Our warranty will expire at 50,000 miles or in one year, so we opted for an 84-month extended warranty for mechanical components. We kept our 2015 X1 from new but decided at 90,000 to trade it in. The F48 engine is a vast improvement over the N20 but I would recommend oil changes every 5,000 miles over the factory 10,000 miles. I think you will like your newer X1. Enjoy!

In the uk the mileage between oil changes is about 18,000 miles dependant on driving conditions. It will be calculated in the cps system. I tend to change around 9,000 miles but 5,000 would be drastic unless doing a very low mileage. The engine is usually in need of half a litre top up at 9,000 I use around 1 litre in 17/18,000 miles when it goes to dealer for service The Z3 gets oil change every 12 month with gearbox and diffs at 24 month, but that car only does 3,000 miles a year.
When changing oils ensure the oil is the correct grade, and change the filter. I am amazed the condition some filters (BMW) are in after 10,000 miles.I always use BMW filters Dealers charge an unrealistic amount for a simple oil/filter change. Easy connection for the dashcam is the spare accessory socket below the glove box. Last edited by Abh29; 05-02-2023 at 10:36 AM.. |
