Another X2 production render
Another X2 production render, this time from Auto Express... The X7 render is pretty off though...

Looks great. BMW needs to allow Nappa or Merino leather in the X series that's < 5. Assuming that doesn't happen, wife's next car will be a Macan S where I can swap it to the nicer interior for an extra $3600. I could care less if the 0-60 is 4.5 in the X2 vs 5.0 in the Macan.
Nevada is more practical, but the option would be nice.

If this thing drives anything like the current X1 it's going to be a crappy car. The new X1 looks good but drives like shit with the FWD platform. I sell these cars for a living so it's such a disappointment to be part of this brand that would put a car like that into its lineup.

Upside down kidneys. Squashed roof. Will sell well to 16 yr old girls because roundel.
Looks like Bmw tried to make a rav4. this bmw/toyota partnership is going too far.

Those wheel/tire combinations looks great and fits the car, unlike the tiny ones you actually see on any other X car so you know this render is way off.

The UKL platform should've been a Mini perhaps, or a subrand on it's own.
BMW have done what Audi have done with the Q3/A3, crappy tech, using the same branding - such a shame imo. The X2 have some personality to it, but the Trannie, the interiour, the steeringwheel, the seats, the gearselector, i can go on and on, but it's all a different class, a downgraded BMW.

As long as BMW makes it 100% Electric, all your worries might suddenly go away!

Well, since i went out "of the closet", and bought an i3, it's no turning back. BMW needs more EV fast. The VW train is coming, so are MB, investing huge amounts into EV. The X2 seems like a stop gap, but perhaps the UKL also is a EV platform? Like the Hyundai Ioniq, it would certainly make a difference!

BMW has more plugins than anybody currently, but not so with full-on ZEV/BEV's.
Correct you are, Mercedes Benz IQ alone will run circles around BMW/BMWi. BMW/BMWi is about to have some serious players to contend with. Quote:

With the inverted grills, over exaggerated bits and bulging plastic lights on all corners, I think BMW must have employed the SsangYong designer to build this version based on the characteristics of a RAV4 and GLA to sell into Asia.
Perhaps it will look better when it is on the road and in 3 dimensions Last edited by AusF20/F48; 12-15-2016 at 05:40 AM.. |

I don't know if it's the perspective of the rendering or what, but everything below the belt crease looks big and everything above seems too small. Maybe it will look better in real life. But what about the fwd platform? Even with xdrive, can it successfully handle like a B.M.W? Or will it m.i.n.i. It's way through the curves? Will it be an ultimate driving machine or ultimate parking at the mall machine?
