Off roading
Hi guys
Has anyone taken their X2 xdrive off road, properly and i dont mean driving it across a flat dry field? Slopes, hills, mud, deep puddles, snow etc. Just wondering its capabilities in the real world. Thanks |

It’s a little too low but perfectly capable on forestry service road type deals.
The x3/x5 are excellent off road however |

I think the stock tyres, for starters, would be a limiting factor off-road...esp in slippery conditions like snow.

I'm an avid mountain biker here in Seattle, and I've used the M35 to get to plenty of trailheads that require some forest road driving. It does fine, put it in comfort mode and look out for larger potholes. The ability to drive on gravel and dirt roads occasionally (slowly) was definitely on my mind when I bought this car.

My new home has a short cut to the city, I took my chances to go though that road with lots of holes and dirt, it is better than I expected, as long as you are slow enough, it handles comfort well, some rocks make it go up and down also fine with it, ground clearance is capable of some small rocks. The only worries are the wheels and scratches from tree branches passing by.
