Hi everyone,

Some of you may know we offer a whole host of retrofits and upgrades for many BMW's including the F48 X1. We're looking to roll out with an aftermarket retrofit of the power trunk aka electric tailgate for F48 X1's and because of that we're looking for a beta tester that would install the kit, create documentation from the installation process like photos and videos and give us some feedback about the kit and its operation.

Generally speaking as with all of our kits this one too is made to be as plug and play as possible but you should definitely be comfortable disassembling a good chunk of your vehicle to install it.

If you're interested let me know your VIN via PM with a subject line "F48 power trunk" and please include a contact e-mail address too as chatting through the PM system is not the most convenient after a few back and forths.

The terms will hopefully be attractive to both sides of the deal.

No additional remote required - the button on the Original remote can be used for opening and closing as well as an additional button that gets mounted in the trunk trim plus a button for the drivers footwell/A-pillar area if I recall correctly - (I don't have the kit with me right now to check).

I noticed that there hasn't been much action on this thread and this is something I am definitely wanting in my newly purchased 2014 x1 msport edition. Please let me know if you are still seeking someone to perform a DIY.
