I have a suggestion, why dont we start a list here, for everyone in the US who has navigation and are awaiting an update to correct MP3, RDS, DRL. We'll gather this list, start a petition, contact BMW owner's club to inquire about suggested course of action. I'm sure they've experienced similar frustration previously.
Totally agree & my point also even if I wasn't clear about it.

Do any of you on this forum think it's right that BMW did not put a
on/off feature for DRL's when all past BMW's have it.
Far as I know past BMW's u can pull the ebrake to turn them off?
Why was on/off left off only 3 months of 2006 cars?
I know why they rushed the damn car out for $$$ instead of September.

I go to drive-in theater a lot, u think it's right that I have to put rags
over the DRL's so someone doesn't shoot my ass.
This is ridiculous I paid $49,000 for my car & it just plan wrong!
3 short months later all 2006 now have on/off DRL's. Total

No, but I would be willing to pay $600.00 for on/off DRL's.
I never asked BMW for anything for nothing. They are just not
willing to do zip for us early buyers. That means BMW rots to me!

Ya real shame considering I'm only asking what I'm entitled to!
Every person that bought early production 2006 3 series also entitled.

Clearly says in the brochure I've had since May...
RDS & MP3 is standard on non Nav. and Nav. cars with CD changer.

Damn right I'm mad with good reasons to be & you all should be to.
Then again most of u posting most likely have cars built after Sept.
Or you don't have the car @ all and post to be smart ass!

Many of you post like BMW is best thing since slice bread.
BMW have done a real number on 1000s of us early buyers & u say it's ok?

It wasn't always excluded. They excluded it after some cars were sold (like mine). I certainly saw no such excusion when I bought my car and the exclusion was added to the website later. You can search this board for additional evidence of that (this was commented on at the time).

Barry, maybe you should call again. I have a 330i non-iDrive sport premium, build date of 05/05, bought in July. I was online filling out my BMW Members Circle registration and couldn't remember the actual day I bought my car (which was a required field to complete.) I called BMW to ask if they could tell me. Since I had my membership card, which contains the VIN, he could tell me the date of warranty activation, which was the day I bought the car.
It was a very pleasant conversation, after which he brought up the issue of the "campain" for pre-Sept builds and told me I didn't need to rush, but that I should schedule an appointment to bring my car in for the September software update. I asked what it did, and he mentioned, among other things, DRL, door locks, etc.
I don't know whether that update is specific to non-iDrive, whether there are different versions, or whether they address the MP3 issue. When you call, ask them about the "national campain" which is another word for "recall." (When I called the dealer to schedule the appointment, I used the word "campain," and the gal scheduling used "recall."

I will check into this Thanks much for the info.

I have idrive & had Sept. update 19.1 which did zip for me.
I've had locks & DRL's since day one of getting my car 6/29.
I just don't have any way to shut them off without going to dealer.
I've since found out "RDS" can be added with software 19.2.?
I talked to my salesman today actually & he says I should have MP3
with CD changer. He said to make appointment with service. We shall see?

Cars with Navigation has to have the CD changer to play MP3.
I have CD changer & I cannot play MP3's @ all.
After 5 months of this crap my salesman now agrees I should have it.
He says to make appointment with service & they will take care of it?
