Cheap quality of OEM Key Fob Leather Covers

Hi all,

I bought one of these OEM Leather BMW Key Fob covers, and while it looked nice for about 2 months, I found that the chrome is wearing off badly, and it now has a nasty brass colour is underneath.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Here's my knock off that I bought off AliExpress for $5 with free shipping about 1 year ago. It doesn't have the BMW engraving but good to know they're the same quality wise.

My genuine BMW one, bought about 4 years ago mind you, is also pretty worn...
