Is this normal condition of drivers seat leather at 91k km (56k miles)?
Hello, I was looking at this BMW X1 F48 2016 for purchase, but the condition of driver seat made me worry. It has 91k km (56k miles). Is it normal to be in this shape after this mileage? I checked all the BMW X1 in current listing and this one has the worst condition of leather on driver seats - even compared to vehicles with 160-170k km. Thanks for your opinion.

if never properly cleaned and treated, for sure...
do a full detail process on them by using dedicated products for leather (cleaner/conditioner/sealer) you'll be amazed by the results As you're in EU, try Labocosmetica (Derma Cleaner/ Sealer) stuff |

Actually most of the bad look of that seats is due to dirt. You can remove all the "dark lines" embedded on the leather with detaling products, and few time cleaning with patience.
The driver seat also have some crack on the back side, that cannot be recovered with detailing products because the leather is already damaged. But definitely you can improve a lot the appearance of that seats. Last edited by ackerman328; 01-31-2023 at 05:57 AM.. |

No rips or tears, looks good.
What do you expect essentially white leather to look like? Clean it with proper products and then condition the leather and move on |

Wow and Woah that's bad. I have a 10 year old Infiniti G37xS Coupe with 65k Miles and it doesn't look this bad. Time to roll up the sleeves and get some gentle soap and water; leather cleaner and conditioner and go to town on those seats.
