"It’s hard to clap when your fingers are in your ears. The early front runner for “Concept Car Totally Overpowered by a Booming Sound System’ is, without a doubt, Acura’s Advanced Sports Car Concept.

When the lights dimmed and the Acura’s cover was ready to be pulled away, the assembled journalists were deafened by a thunderous and overly dramatic soundtrack. After these high decibel histrionics, anything but the arrival of Zeus leading a pack of hell hounds would have been underwhelming. So when the sheet was finally blown back and the Acura show car revealed, the polite applause seemed as much for the welcome silence as it was for this concept car’s styling."
