I am not familiar with french transortation but I counted 18 red lights that he went by. I wonder how many counts of traffic violation he got for the red lights and maybe 3 time he went into the other lane. He also came very close to hitting a person walking across the street. I am glad the film is out so we can see it and enjoy it and not go out and di ti ourself and glad that noone got hurt.

I was going to say the same thing. I just figured the engine sounded loud because engines back then had to strain twice as hard to get to the speed of today's engines.

If you read the whole thread, that engine sound was dubbed over the original after the film was recorded. I'm rather certain that the 405 ft-lb of torque in that engine didn't have to work very hard regardless of the era
