Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie
So I've decided to add more Baking to my repertoire. I've made several of my favorite: Sweet potato pie for several Holidays now. But today I tried my hand at my second favorite pie: PECAN! This particular recipe caught my eye due to the fact it added both Chocolate and Bourbon.
I won't be tasting it until tomorrow after it has cooled and set. We are also hosting a Superbowl Party so I thought I would surprise our guests too with this Southern delicacy! I can not explain to you how delicious it smells in our house right now....

Recipe is super simple. Here's the recipe I used: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/...rbon-pecan-pie I modified mine as follows: I cut the sugar in half because I added the chocolate chips in. I doubled the Vanilla. And I doubled the Bourbon (the alcohol gets evaporated anyway so it's more for flavor).

I have a weakness for a warm slice of pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Add in the chocolate and bourbon and it is heaven! Those look awesome. Great job!

No offense
I've never eaten pecan pie. Still not interested. Would help you make sure the Basil was up to snuff though. |
