Installed front BBK, what yall think ?
Hey fellas, wanted to share what i done on my wifes car, its a small 6 piston big brake upgrade, with a 355x34mm two piece (aluminum center) brake rotors, you can see the size and weight difference in the pictures attached, also went with ebc redstuff pads (much larger than stock). I love ebc redstuff because they are grabby but could be dusty as well. Overall install was fairly smooth, kit required 15mm spacers in the front (i had 12 and 17mm before) so i will be installing 20mm rear spacers.
I am very impressed that despite its size (including the thickness) it is 1lb lighter over stock. So far ive noticed that the brakes are grabbier vs stock, also brake pedal catches about 1/4” lower than it used to, i would possibly need to rebleed the brakes in a week or so again but i hot used to the feel literally after 20 min of driving. Overall very pleased, even though i ran into some minor fitment issues (mounting brackets had to be cut 1.5mm because caliper was touching the wheel) and thats about all i see for now. I’ll report back if theres any issues but overall love the kit for the money for sure |

I got this kit from a company in russia, i buy headlight parts from them and the guy was able to mock up a kit that would work for f48 model. It took right over a month to get it, cost was right over 1100 with shipping included. I am very satisfied with the whole thing even though i had to take it to machine shop to shave 1.5mm off the mounting brackets and i had to use 15mm spacers in the front to clear these huge calipers . Stance is perfect btw with 15mm front and 20mm rears.
PS do yall think if i get another kit ordered someone would be interested? |

Looks great. Really looking forward to the full comparison because IMO the standard
X1 brakes are very good

Correct, stock brakes are great as is, this upgrade is more for looks , also big brakes allow for many more consecutive harsh stops, better brakes cooling, and shaving off 1lb per rotor is also a good bonus. At the given price this set up was a no brainer lol
