Removing dash trim?

Hi all, anyone know how to remove the "wood" trim from across the dash/facia and shiny black surround around the radio/HVAC area? Mine is squeaking like a '90s Kia and the dealer claims it's normal (and it's just materials expanding and contracting!) Thanks

Hate to bring up an old thread but the original link no longer works. Does anyone know how to do this? I need to replace pull the Radio/HVAC units out so see if I can clean up the buttons since it appears that the previous owner spilled coffee on it causing one of the seat heater buttons to stick. I''m not paying $800 for a new part and want to see if I can clean it up or get a replacement from like eBay for like a fraction of the dealer cost for a new one.

Take a look at this: https://f48.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1&postcount=16

I attached some pictures and a manual on how to disassemble several parts, including the headunit and trims around it.
