Thank you and farewell

Next week I will be swapping my F48 for a new G01 (Msport xdrive 2.0d with technology pack). I would just like to thank all fellow X1/X2 forum members for their advice, help and points of view over the past few years. I intend to move main contributions over to the X3 section which at the moment looks sedate compared to this section, however learning about the iDrive 7 should keep me busy and I hope to still pop-in regularly. Best wishes to you all.

Thank YOU for your very constructive and helpful contributions, which I know will be very much welcomed over in the X3 community. Meanwhile, I'm just managing to cope with iD6 on my new F22 — however, still a step up from the 2016 F48's iDrive system. And yes, it has full screen CarPlay!

Thank you MJE60. I too will join you sometime next year. I'm planning to trade in my F25 and F48 as well for my future M40i.

Thank you for your contributions. I'm definitely not a fan of diesels. Not sure but I think diesel engines are not allowed anymore due to the pollution and carcinogen issues.

Well, due to The dealership being in Portsmouth and now in tier 4, it looks like I will be waiting a while to get the new car. Sorry, you will have to put up with me a bit longer.

Can the dealership not deliver or have another dealership collect the car and then deliver it direct to you?

Not sorted until Christmas Eve and am now waiting for Tuesday (29th Dec) morning conversation with dealer when hopefully they will provide time for contactless handover later in the day or Wednesday morning. Not the best organisation on their part but hopefully sorted. If it goes through it will be worth it, list price of car with options, £47,600, paid £35,995 with G3 paint protection thrown in. Car pre-registered on 30/9/2020 but only 3 miles (was still transport wrapped) on the clock and so will feel like a brand new car.

That sounds like an excellent deal and for a car that is getting some excellent reviews. My younger son is considering going for an X3 next Spring when his current car is up for renewal. Enjoy your X3 and wishing you, and indeed everyone on the Forum, a very Happy 2021 (Covid/Lockdown permitting) and good luck for the the future.

Thank you, I am looking forward to playing with some of the new features I do/did not have in my trusty X1, like HUD, Carplay and park assist. I will let you know how I think the X1 and X3 compare in real world driving, especially as the X3 now has the 48V mild hybrid technology built in as standard.
Very Happy 2021 to you and all fellow forum members also.

Will you lose 3 months of warranty coverage since it was pre-registered?
