I just put this on last night. So far I really like it, far better quality than the $8 would suggest. How well it will protect and hold up, unsure. But it's only $8 so I really don't care.

It's not about brand but material. Stay away from TPU or silicon cases if you don't want it to be sticky.

Spigen for sure; I've run the Ultra Hybrid model on the last 3 or 4 iPhones. They have some thinner models that will likely work better for you if your main goal is thin.

Equally as annoying as 'sticky', I'd avoid anything with clear sides as well. Those feel 'plasticky' and have a weird tactile feel as it relates to volume, etc. buttons on the sides of the phone. As mentioned above, it's a difference in material that creates these differences for sure.

For the reasons above, that's why I tend to stay away from 2 piece covers (soft molded cover w/ a hard snap over back) as well.

Thanks all - I put the Spigen Ultra Hybrid on my xmas list and will give it a shot. It looks to have the combo of thin and not too grippy I am looking for.

Thank you all!

I started off with Otterbox, then Lifeproof, then Spigen...and settled on Spigen. (I've had the original iPhone; 3GS; 4S; 6S; 12 mini).

I have the new iPhone 12 mini now and put the Spigen Neo Hybrid on it. Love it.

Apple leather case. Very durable, soft and moisture absorbent too. Like a nice leather wrapped steering wheel. I've dropped my iPhone X on a hard surface a few times. It seems to be holding up well.

I got mine on sale for $35

Thumbs up

I got this exact case in blue for my Galaxy S20 several weeks ago. It is damn good! Wife decided she wanted the exact one but in a girly color. Naturally I obliged...

Thanks All

I went with the Spigen Hybrid and it is perfect! it is a little smaller than my other and the perfect combo of grip and smoothness.

slides in and out of my pocket perfectly and does not snag at all. Even slips in and out of my car mount better too.

Thanks for the recommend!

I have used Apple leather case on my iPhone 7 and I loved it, however if you do drop in on a rough surface the leather gets pretty damaged.

Also used a Spigen case with no issues, except that it had a hole on the back to show the Apple logo. This hole would allow for dust, and crap to get under the case.

Currently using MagBak. Solid case, slim, and magnetic back. Super convenient feature. I stick that shit on everything.

Agreed; this is beyond stupid on most cases...especially the 'tough armor' ones that are supposed to be completely shock proof, waterproof, etc.

Had the Tough Armor with that little hole for the logo before. Never had any durability issues dropping it but it did get/create a bit of a dirt ring on the phone. The Neo Hybrid I have now doesn’t have the logo window it’s a nice textured back.

I just upgraded to an iPhone 11 and Apple’s Silicone case, so fat I’m impressed.
