20x9 ET35 is already more than 30mm wider than stock which is pretty aggressive so you wouldn't need spacers.
I wouldn't go that wide, the wheels are going to poke out. 20x8.5 ET35 would be a better fit. |

Also, I would go with 245/40 tires. Thanks for any info! |

I think wheels will be one of the first things I do to my X1. I'm sub'd to the thread. I'm really annoyed BMW changed the wheel pattern. I think I want to go with something that has a lip. My X1 is EB with Msport so it has shadowline trim. I'm not sure what color wheel to go with. I'm thinking maybe gloss black.

i have fitted 255/40/19 winter tires (Continental Wintercontact) to my original 19" rims. All works and fits perfectly. Have driven now more than 1500 km and without any problems.
Only 2 differences i recognize is that the steering wheel is slightly harder to turn, otherwise the car grips to the road in a same way and secondly fuel consumption was bigger, but as we were travelling with full load i can't say it was because of the tires. Continental tires are really good, quiet and with a good grip. Recommended! |
