Any help? I just purchased a 135i few weeks back done 500miles and I’ve had a engine fault come up saying it isn’t at full power and to drive moderately. Any information appreciated.

Apologies I don’t actually have one else I would have checked I’ve only recently purchased it and not sure what code reader would be best either.

Can you take it to a local Auto Parts store? They can read the codes for you for free? That could be a start?

Nowhere here in the uk I know of that does that for free? To be honest willing to buy one but not sure where’s good to look for that sort of thing if you have any recommendations? Thanks

If you ever plan to tune it, I think MHD can read error codes. Or if you ever consider Carly to do any coding work or things like battery registration, it can read error codes as well.

I’ve checked under the hood today and found that the air intake hose has actually snapped off where the metal clamp is where it goes into the engine so I think I’ve found the problem. Just hope no damaged has been caused as a result of driving it back home 30 miles or so?

Not much you can do now. It's probably fine. It's unfiltered air, and that's no good, but if it wasn't super dusty / dirty out and not very far, you might be OK.
