Doubting if it will be as good on Black Msport car but I am tempted. My 2018 X1 18dX, which I picked up late december and very happy so far with the looks. Love the Shadowline trims. Next winter I will get the rims spraypainted black as I I am not so much fan of the boring BMW winter wheels. Last edited by mrpingu; 02-08-2023 at 02:33 AM.. |

Thanks.
Currently getting my back windows tinted to make it look even better. Contemplating if I want all black grill or if that makes the contrast go away... Is it an easy retrofit and you can change the color in iDrive or? |

My lifted 2019 X1 xDrive
New to this forum. Been all over the E46 and M forums for years because I have owned those previously. Purchased new December 2019 and now have 34K on the clock, so I figured I best start looking for info on it because I am going to have to start doing some maintenance in the foreseeable future.
Here is what I have: -2019 F48 X1 xDrive Sunset Orange with a slick top and no extra packages -3 inch lift with Bilstein B6 dampers, which give it about 13 inches of clearance -Falken Wildpeak AT Trail 225/55R18 tires with a spare tire kit...run flats are awful. -15mm wheel spacers -Meyle HD Alloy LCAs (wishbones) with removable ball joints -Complete LED lighting retrofit -BSW (Bavsound) speaker conversion (speakers and ghost subwoofers)...huge improvement over stock junk!! -Drawtite 2 inch hitch -Front windows tinted Use this thing to pull a pop up camper and also do some off-roading. Very capable. Have had it on the beaches here, sand dunes, in the North GA mountains and haven't been stuck yet, even without a low range. I wouldn't take it rock climbing or anything like that, but for general off-roading it does the job quite well. Maybe some bigger tires in the future. Have about an inch to play with before rubbing would be an issue. Love the pictures of all the others. Seems most people like to go lower. I guess I kind of went the other way. |

Thanks. The tires are great. Work well both on and off road. They are 28.5 inches. Anything over 29 inches and rubbing becomes an issue, so a 235/55R18 is the absolute max that would fit. Yoko, Toyo and BFG also make trail tires this size. I figure they all work about the same. At one time I thought about throwing on some 17s in order to run a tire with a little more "meat" but not sure if the brake hardware would clear, so I just stuck with the stock 569s.

I like it! Had the same type of look on mine with those tires before throwing on the lift kit.

Lift kit came from M7 Speed. Originally made for the Countryman but obviously fits on these. Figured if I was pulling all the suspension out I would go ahead and upgrade that too. Has been on there for 20K miles now. There was a slight shimmy at take off, which has since gone away once the CVs brandished their new "happy place." The front LCA bushings are notorious for wearing out fast on these things and the lift kit accelerates it. Went ahead and installed some beefed up Meyle HD alloy front LCAs and bushings with removable ball joints that solved that problem. The adjustable stabilizer links that come with the kit are junk and wear out fast. Put the stock ones back on. Camber went from -0.5 to +2.0, but has no effect on tire wear or handling. I just spin the tires every oil change (5K miles). Other than that, it has been all good.

Here’s my recently acquired 2019 UK facelift X1 sDrive 18i.
Comfort pack 1 and tech pack 1 installed along with sun protection glass. Loving the adaptive headlights and high beam assist, and the kids love the led strips inside. |

Cruise Control knob was crumbling down so I took the opportunity to add paddle shift while replacing the knob.

New to this forum. Enjoyed looking through this thread, some lovely BM's from some lovelier parts of the world.
Still getting to grips with these sites so please feedback if images haven't uploaded. Mine is a 2017 M sport, new to me this year (bit late to the party I know) and a first BMW for me. Thinking the black kidney grills (rather than chrome) may tie in with the rest of the car more? Not sure what else I'll do, if I'm feeling brave may look at fitting a bigger screen |

That color must be the best color for the X1, unfortunately I didn’t find that color in the area!
Beautiful rims too! |
