Question USB Stick and Album Art on display

Have posted a similar thread before - but does anyone use a memory stick connected via the USB for their music?
If so are you getting the album art displayed?
If your are what program did you copy your music from to the memory stick?
I ask as I have copied music from both Iplayer and tried Windows media player, both appear to transfer and embed the art work for the album, however nothing get displayed. MikeUK informs me that he gets Album Art displayed both he and I have the Navigation Plus option, which when I purchased the vehicle was informed was needed for the Art work to be displayed>
Any feed back would be great, before I take the vehicle in to get the problem isolated and fixed.

Just to confirm that I get get all the artwork displayed from an USB stick without problems: I've got the base navigation, not navigation plus. I use a Mac, and use iTunes. I went through everything with a script called "Re-embed album artwork" from Doug's Scripts, but this won't help you on a PC, I'm afraid.

I'm sure there must be Windows apps to do the same, so if you haven't already done this try google or downloads.com.

Hmm Even i dont have issue with album art while playing through USB. Try using itunes on a PC/MAC and then copy songs from itunes to your USB. Havent tested on PC but might work.

I tried the following and it worked.

Download a program call MP3 Tag:

http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html

In Itunes select the album and copy to usb stick, then run it through MP3 Tag.

I have only tried it for one album at the moment as i've got to get a decent size usb stick for all my music, but it worked prefectly.

One question, what size image are you using? When you tag the tracks.
Or what is the larges size image the BMW system will display?

I use the size 250x250 pixels. (in Mp3tag)
Don't use big sizes (max 500x500), the tag (image) wil otherwise not visible

Thanks for that info, only about 20 more hours of tagging the tracks. Would have been a disaster to have done them all only to find images were to big to be shown.

I used the free version of MediaMonkey on my Windows PC which embedded art just fine (once I found my way around the MM interface). Transferred tracks to a very short stubby USB stick (Sandisk UltraFit 16GB) to lessen the risk of bending it in the socket. Art comes up nicely on Nav Plus.
