2016 X1 tire wear
When did you wear your RFTs?
I have the pirelli P7 RFTs that came with the car and strangely the new dealership that I visited states that the tread is almost worn out. Not sure if the dealership is doing something funny / wrong. Is it normal for the all season pirelli p7 to wear out at 14k ? |

They're not the most durable tyres and if you've not rotated them in 14,000 miles, it's likely the front tyres might be well-worn. BMW dealers have a habit of recommending a full tyre set change for AWD vehicles and that's advisable (IMO). Hence the need to rotate tyres. FWIW, I just replaced mine (at 30,000 miles with 3 rotations) with non-RFT P7s. Much quieter, much better ride, but make sure if you do this, you get a puncture kit or a space saver spare (and change kit)

My stock runflats lasted about 25k. I'm hard on tires however they did not last well nor were they great performers. Just like ttimbo I went to non-RFT tires on my tire change and added in a spare + jack to the car. I'm MUCH happier with the non-RFT setup.

No More Run Flats
After 3 years, I have had it with the run flats. My car looks great but runs like a bulldozer. The runflats are so hard, I ran over a gum wrapper the other day and the whole car bounced... But seriously, has anyone changed to Ultra High Performance All Season Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Michelins? I expect these to be my new tires soon. Any help would be appreciated
