Replaced my old incandescent bulbs with these LED's that
I got from amazon.com. Very bright and easy installation.

How come your X1 came with amber blinkers in the rear blinkers?
I'm going to order these for my car too. Although the front ones are not as obvious but are very bright and worth it just because of that alone.

I replaced the regular bulbs in the in the fogs with ultra bright LEDs that are the same color as the rest of the light. BMW Canbus. They are great! Kinda strange that BMW doesn't fit the X1 with LEDs from the factory.

Can you please provide me with the part number for the rear turn signals and the link through Amazon? By the way - Why did you go with Amber for the rears? The original bulbs and bezel are red.

The rear blinkers are amber in Europe & many other countries (I guess, looking at the 1st post, Thailand too).

The red colouring you mention is mainly used in North American (USA & Canada) and is, I believe, a carry-over of when most North American cars used the rear brake-light as both a stop-light and blinker - hence red for both.

Amber blinkers are standard all over the world, except US/Canada as far as I know.

LEDs are great but as it states on the boxes they are not street legal so I'd worry that insurance would be void in an accident ❓

That may be the case in USA, but not so sure about reaction from UK insurers to anything that isn't properly approved under UK/EU vehicle legislation.

Lmao, this is not a concern whatsoever. If that was the case, millions of cars on the road today with aftermarket lights/equipment would be uninsurable.

Mind sharing which LED fog light bulbs you went with? The halogen dogs on the F48 are so unsightly.

I did low beam halogen to LED conversion using the Hikari Ultra 12,000 lumen bulbs. Required modifying the clip to bend the top part straight in order for fan housing to clear, but well worth it. LEDs are much brighter than stock halogen bulbs.
