What oil are you using?
I see that BMW is now recommending 0W-20 Which they call a 17fe oil for just about all cars now for fuel savings Also, I noticed there is a 0W 30 which is a 01fe. I’d rather use the 30 weight because that’s what my other cars use. Anyone trying it? I noticed the owners manual lists it as a top off oil

I like liquimoly as a brand myself.. I use the 0w-20 for the m35i while it is under "warranty" because that's what our local BMW uses.. just in case so oils don't get mixed up. I have been using 0w-40 for my cars for a while and no issues.. the 2016 X1 has been using it for about 2 years now, and I haven't see anything good nor bad with how the car runs or gas mileage...

Still getting free oil changes from the dealer so whatever they use. I have been using liqui moly bmw 0w20 (LM22044) on my daughter’s Subaru with no issues. I will use it on my bmw when my free stuff goes away.
