Retrofitting a CD Player?

Just recently purchased a 2020 X2 but it does not have a CD player. Is it possible to install one after that fact?

I'm thinking about it too. Actual cost of unit is not too much but labor to put it in might be prohibitive. Also maybe needs to be reprogrammed too?

Here's a link to the part:

It's a pretty old-school item. Wouldn't it be easier to just rip your favorite CD's onto a USB stick and plug it in to one of the two ports that support it?

One way to do it although I have a Spotify account so I don't really need to do it If the cost were minimal, I would exchange it but I'm fine for now

Currently, I use an iPod but it constantly freezes when plugged in. It would just be nice to load a particular cd and let it ride. Plus, I like buying physical CD's so if a new one releases, it's nice to pop it in on the way home.....yes I am realizing I am old school.

Thought about that as well. It's not like the area needs to be modified. I wonder if an additional plug is needed.
