This poor woman was struck and killed by a driver texting on his cell phone while she was crossing a street in a marked crosswalk with the right of way.

I witnessed this tragic incident and tried to help the woman, but sadly she died of her injuries.

1. please stay off of your phones when behind the wheel.

2. if anyone can help this poor family, I'm sure they would be eternally grateful.

Yes, please stop texting, eating, applying make up, reading the paper, shaving.... whatever you may feel comfortable doing while operating a vehicle is routine for you.

It only takes that one incident to show you that those bad habits is definitely driving distracted and dangerous for everyone, including yourself. But by then, the lesson learned is to late for everyone involved.

I'm sorry for her loved ones' loss. I know they are grateful for any help/comfort/company that you provided her in your time with her.

Distracted driving needs to have harsher consequences

Almost every boner move I see on the roads can be attributed to some knob trying to text or whatever on their phone
