Didn't have a sunroof on mine, so yes only the front windscreen was smashed. The rear I guess was protected by the spoiler.
Broke the two rear lights (but not front), and dented every single panel except the plastic nose cone and tail gate. RJ - I see you're in the ACT. Were you affected? cheers

nice
great looking car, love the stealth gray, in the US a lot of SUVs are gray, we blend in, less tickets
enjoy the beautiful car, drive safely and to all of you reading this, hope you and your families are safe and healthy during this health crisis |

Hi Rounderman
Still enjoying the X3. Nice having awd, rather than fwd (like the Australian X2s are). Significantly more power and torque. Ride quality is actually not too bad. I have the 21 inch wheels with RFTs, but they seem less jarring than I expected. Having said that I still generally use the 'comfort' setting for suspension. The one downside about being in Covid isolation is less genuine reason to drive the car to work.... I have to make up some opportunities! Hope you're doing well!

Thanks for the update, glad it is working out. We are doing okay. I work in healthcare (administration) but I still go into work every day some what surreal.
The X2 us fun unfortunately I was driving an X3M40 for 3 weeks waiting for an airbag control module to arrive. Second go round with passenger restraint system issues, last time they replaced the seat mat . Of course as soon as I got it back another gremlin showed up. SOS system malfunction. fortunately I took a picture of the error message and sent it to my SA (really helpful actually BMW of Rochester NY). seems to be a known problem with the back up battery and the part is ordered. The error message comes and goes. Anyway, stay safe, enjoy the car, I feel pretty lucky overall to have a job and a great car. |
