Cruise control not turning off
Hey, I have BMWX1xDrive20i. When I press the cruise button it sets me to the speed but when I hit the brake pedal the car brakes but the cruise control sign still appears on the speedometer display.
Can someone suggest why this is happening or am I doing something wrong |

You activate the CC then set it. When you brake, it turns off the set speed. The CC is still 'ready' so you can resume. You have to turn CC on to use it at all.

Ditto...you can hit the resume button and it will return to the last set speed.
This should also be explained in the owners manual...and if you have iDrive...there should be an embedded owners manual that has multiple ways of searching. You could simply start to type CRUISE into the keyword search and you should get a list of topics to select that will explain how the feature works on your BMW. Example (except OIL was the keyword):
