X2 rev counter jumping

Hi. I have a 2019 x2 2.0d xdrive
When I am driving at 70 my rev counter drops to just 80p rpm then bounces back up. It also jumps rather than moves smoothly. 5he dealer said this is normal and it is when the car goes into a cruising mode (not cruise control). I did not see this for the firs5 5 months but is happening now for the last two weeks

Has anyone else seen this

800 rpm not 80.
