Steering wheel adjuster 640i-convertible-2016

Just bought my first BMW. LOVE IT. Only problem is the steering wheel adjuster is not operating. Column will not go in or out either. I bought the car as is from a GM DEALERSHIP. the only fuse I can find associated with the adjuster button is the no.1 fuse. I cannot get to this through the small door in the glove box. Can the glove box be removed easily?
