Sport+ Driving Mode

Did this via expert mode in BimmerCode

BDC--> 3221 PfFesMaster --> FesHasMode 5 --> set to "Aktiv"

Gears will shift at higher RPMs and DTC is turned on.

How do you select it using the button? You press it towards sport twice?

Has anyone tried it in diesel X1s or smaller petrol engines?

Does this allow the use of "Launch Control" on a regular X1 X2.8i ?

Have not tried it. You should be able to use launch control if you engage DTC. Again never tried launch control either method

Hi ventjock,
Hi maaii11,

SPORT+ has been set. Thank you for teaching me.

P.S.
COMFORT+ mode added

BDC_BODY > 3221 PfFesMaster, 11 > FesHasMode2 = aktiv (default: nicht_aktiv = 00)

KOMBI2 > 300C ECO_FDS(300C ,3C) > FDS_MENUE(300C_0_0_255) = menue_9 = 09 (default: menue_4 = 04)
OPTIONS
(kein_menue = 00, menue_1 = 01, menue_2 = 02, menue_3 = 03, menue_4 = 04, menue_9 = 09)

Thanks for sharing. Mind if ask your personal opinion on how different is Comfort+ vs. Comfort on your M sport suspension? Does it soften the suspension at all?

Hi pTron,

I can't feel the difference while driving. I need a little more time.

Did the Sport+ setting as described by ventjock. To be honest, could not tell the difference between that and Sport with DTC manually activated. In fact, I am not even sure if DTC is really activated, as it usually displays the icon for DTC activation on the dash when manually activated. With Sport+, no DTC icon was shown on the dash, except it was mentioned only on the screen display showing Sport+ was activated. Perhaps I was expecting something more from Sport+?

Yeah, on F30 forums you see them mention a more aggressive and faster operation when switching to Sports+ but I see no difference at all either.

Yeah, after reading about it on the F30 forum, I was expecting something more significant than Sport mode and manually activated DTC.

Not trying to pick you up on your wording, but suffice to say, you cannot have comfort or comfort + on an M Sport suspension on these cars.

BMW will not/cannot build it. When you go into the configurator and specify the M Sport model, and specify the adaptive suspension, the configurator deletes the M Suspension that would have lowered the car by 10mm.

So to summarise. If you are able to actually change the suspension settings (meaning you have the adaptive suspension), there are 2 suspension settings:
Comfort (standard setting).
Sport (firmed up and stiffer).

I know this because I have just ordered a new car and specified the adaptive.
