Do you miss the power of the F82 or does the fun of the E46 make up for it? I've been tracking my F80 and I like the power, but want something a little more nimble and analog.

Oh I still have both, its a sickness but I wanted to keep the f82 for street fun and the e46m for the track fun. Much less to worry about balling up an e46 should that happen which is the risk.

I have a full bolt on and am adding e85 soon which has been proven to have just shy of 400 crank so the only thing I am lacking is torque. That said, I have reduced a lot of weight. To give fair comparison, I am constantly trading times with SS Camaro, Coyote mustangs, e92m3 and some of the newer caymans etc. So, in short, the performance and or fun factor isn't lacking at all. I find it a bit more manageable thus more fun for me

I figured! Keeping my M3 CS as well, I was talking about primarily on the track driving experience. I've been tracking my M3 CS for 2 years now. I love the power delivery, I just wish it were lighter and more analog of that makes sense. Not trying to break track records and I've been considering a 981 or an E46 M3 as my track toy. I think either car will be more fun, just wondering what your take on it is. Anything you miss about the F8X on the track? How was your pace affected before you lightened the car and started modifying?

Ah yes fair question(s) sorry I missed it.

The power delivery is linear and analog, almost better than most I have driven. I believe a good tune and being an NA engine with ITB's and an 8000+ RPM engine redline assists with this. I prefer this on track versus the turbo situation as it just simply eliminates one more variable or component for throttle modulation.

I have gotten quicker but I have a hard time saying its all due to the mods. I started with a mostly stock car on coils and a section 3. I believe both seat time and mods have improved. My most frequented track I started with an abysmal 2:09 times whereas now I am closer to 2:04's to occasional 2:03's.

I bought a dreadmill too - some high tech thing with a widescreen and apparently I can do walks in NZ while on it - a little taste of home. It gets delivered Tuesday. 460 lbs, no install service, and I have a bad back. This ought to be fun.

One of my lighting fixtures in the garage finally gave out and I'm getting tired of replacing the fluorescent bulbs. This is the perfect time to convert to full LED. I have six 4ft fixtures, 2 bulbs each, 12 bulbs total in my garage (2 fixtures for each car space, 3 spaces total) Going with these 4 bulb fixtures. I'll still be using 6 fixtures, 4 bulbs each fixture for a total of 24 "bulbs", 7000 lumens each. This will double the light in each car space. Perfect for late night garage work!

LED is the way to go. Did it in my garage and you get much brighter light and no buzzing.

We used our treadmill all the time. For hanging clothes and other such things. Walk on it? Not so much.

If you do use it, look into Zwift. They have some pretty cool running tracks. Getting involved in some sort of program is a great motivator.

I've been taking amateur photos my whole life. Then early on won some 'super 8' video competitions. Nothing really serious as my career always got in the way of doing photo/video more seriously. Made some videos for the schools, local groups but again, just dabbling.

But also being an engineer, love the technical aspects of learning to fly it, control it and then weave in the still/video aspects to create some fun shots.

Generally got it to see where I can take it. I live in the mountains so anxious to get her out for some panoramic shots.

I *really* wish that somebody would make a device like this that also includes a volume knob and forward-facing speakers and sits under an iMac screen!!!!!

The stock online photo is no good and I'm not taking a picture modeling pants for you all, but ASRV tech joggers for the gym. Have been wrestling with the spend, but considering I'm at the gym 5-6 days a week, it's cold, etc. it was worth it. Expensive, but the quality is well worth the price.

Why not just use a good speaker and sun set? Volume is on the front of my old Klipsch speakers.
