Is it possible to know if CarPlay will work on my car, I'm a bit confused with all of this.

I sometimes get this message:
Apple CarPlay is supported. To use CarPlay delete device\vehicle connection and pair again.

I've tried this multiple times and reset the system in desperation but no joy and message regarding CarPlay doesn't appear now, what am I doing wrong?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I bought an off-lease USA 2018 f48 X1, the worst thing about it was no apple car play and no AUX out, I replace the screen from 6.5 to 8.8, I went the cheap route and ordered some Chinese 10" android system and it didn't work, I was going with another website for an MMI box but read some great review from a popular forum and this site was mention and recommended, their cost was 1/3 of the other guy. He took remote access took 45 mins or so, I honestly felt comfortable allowing access. an hour later I had Carplay and was able to use Waze on the touch screen, totally worth it and recommended. Have a fast laptop, get an ENET cable, and use a battery tender during the process

If your ENTRYNAV2 Head Unit has WLAN function, CarPlay is possible.

Your Receive PM function is disabled. PM me when working.

I think 2016 will be older ENTRYNAV (ROUTE) Head Unit, so no CarPlay unless you retrofit OEM Head Unit or use Aftermarket HMI.

Just picked up 2018 X1, VIN 5L05881. Car has 6.5, no Navigation. Interested in Android Auto. Have Galaxy S10 +. Would I need to switch out unit or can somehow get Android auto to work on this? I think i have to post a few more time to activate PM. Saw another member with PM issue. Thx much in advance. Thx also for helping out newbie members

Yes, ENTRYNAV2 does not support Android Auto.

I do have WAY as well but I never got such a message. Were you able to fully activate it ?
