How does that work? isnt it stock 4.8? Also, if you were looking to measure a launch with launch control would you still do it with Map1 or Map 0 only? |

dwp 0 and v17 in 86F temp on map 1 i get plus 3 psi over 22.8 stock yielding really about 25.5 to 26 psi
cooler temps a little more map 2 is truly about 1 psi more to about 26 to 26.5 max boost never exceeds 30 but bounces below or at edge on map 1 and in map 2 is at or slightly higher than 30 in .xx digits |

Unplug the battery, let it sit, plug it back in, start up vehicle.
Did you also check within the JB4 app if there are any 'codes' outstanding? If so, check it, see what it says, and/or clear them. |

hmmm, let me explain what happens to me
my car 'rarely' settles to 'constant' boost by way of looking at JB4 but moreso aftermarket AEM. it's really 'hard' to get it to be 'consistent' to the numbers I've explained to you and rather all over the place numbers without exceeding 30. me thinks that you are OKAY. unplug the battery, wait, plug it back in. drive a bit and then see. the logging with JB4 is good, but the AEM is well, 'better/alternate/convenient' as you are tapping the manifold direct. and as long as your eyeballs and foot align, then you know what is what. that is why I did it. |

good luck mad man. my vehicle is fine. prolly cause I don't drive it much and didn't have many cylcles with the dwp and v19 as you have in road time versus non-drive time.

yup, being 49, catching up to me as well. sounds stupid, I rather BUY it than BUILD it now a days, ie since I bought this car in 2019. a little bit of tinkering is always OK, but still, I'm too old for that shit. thats my excuse for now.

I'm still surprised that the BMW intake doesn't set off the MAF.. might be the velocity stack which I didn't even see in any of the original pictures online. Maybe you can show a picture of it some day. I agree, the pipercross didn't seem to do a lot for sound or performance, but I just left mine in for now. I'm not sure if you DWP is funky, but I'm still running map2 year round and it is perfectly fine. I don't tend to really "beat" the car.. ie repeated heavy throttle, plus I'm mostly on the highway commuting so I'm sure the car is happier moving at those speeds.
I'm itching for the mid pipe... might be on my next list.. hehe.. |

It happened. About 1000lbs of additional weight in the car and the 'surprise' to the guests while logging JB4.
Yielded 0-60 readout on JB4 log page. Definitely not 3.9. |

I'll try to drive a little bit today and try it out.Furthermore I do have a pedal controller that could be part of the culprit because boost doesn't build for a bit. And that is a hard launch but yeah there was a delay.
Plus there's also four people and other gear which is about 1000 pounds heavier so that's part of it. |

Here is where I am at with things...
No matter what I do off the line in non launch mode with what I have added into the under trunk of the vehicle and my fat ass I get above 5 second results 0-60 via JB4 readout. However, once boost builds off the line which is quite shitty the vehicle is fast AF. And since I have no issues I honestly feel there is no apples to apples comparison I can give at this point. I have tried damn near everything and stop to go initial boost build is the problem in any or non map with or without pedal box. Same engine, different variables, done with the science project. |

I actually haven't tried "launching" it since I got the car.. I do wonder if the pedal box changes that... One of these days I might have a flat stretch of road to try the 0-60 launch.. just don't really care right now to do it (nor the opportunity)

I am curious about this too. I am still running V17. What is everyone running is V20 safe? At the moment I am not having any issues with V17 and am wondering if it is worth moving to V20.

Long story short, entered empty nester stage, might get a new vehicle to replace this one or have wife drive this one and we replace the minivan and I get something new. Or two new cars, or not at some point.
With that being said the JB4 is off the car and iPhone app removed. No issues with it, just life changes. JB4 is For Sale, asking $500 shipped OBO. |

So I have been driving aggressively without the JB4 for two weeks now. Retaining the BMS pedal tuner on orange setting, I can honestly tell the stock tune is so much better making the car feel faster than the JB4 most of the time, not all of the time, but where it counts. Sometimes I forget that I don't have the JB4. Peak boost is down 1.5 PSI via AEM but rarely do I go as low if at all to 22.5, mainly in 25 to 27 sweet spot just like JB4. I have a whole new appreciation for the stock tune and brings the excitement back of driving this vehicle. Less laggy actually!
