Good lord - I used to love her. Never really thought about where she went though - Love her in point of no return. I had no idea. Good for her for escaping the life if that is what she wanted.

Being comfortable with who you are and ignoring the huge health implications of being morbidly obese are too different things. Girls feeling like they need to be twigs and starving themselves is a hug turn off to me. I like a girl that will kill a 1/2 a pizza in front of you with a laugh on occasion. A girl that takes zero regard for her health (or hygiene) in the name of living "free".....is quite another.

Always a balance.

It happens from time to time. Has something to do with the size of the thread, number of posts, or just the sheer space its taking up on the forum servers. I dont recall the exact technical issue but I believe you begin to get some performance issues that are a result of the thread size. So they shut them down to prevent further growth. The admin mentioned this in the LOL V4 thread if you look at the last post there. He says he's shutting it down and we are welcome to create V5.

I should probably save this response for the "You know your old" thread but but since you brought it up: As a teenager, Buffalo Springfield appeared at a dance club I used to go to in Redondo Beach, CA in the mid-sixties. We usually got surf music or the Crossfires (who became the Turtles), so folk rock was quite a pleasant change for me. It was a dance floor right up to the stage and I was just 2 years into playing guitar at the time. Seeing Neil Young and Stephen Stills play guitar blew my mind. I'm literally standing right underneath them looking in awe at what they were doing on the guitar.

I've seen many acts live during that era on the Sunset Strip, but that first time seeing Buffalo Springfield is one of my most memorable music moments.

That's a good story. You were lucky to see them. They are a favorite group of mine. I like "For What it's Worth" and "Mr. Soul," to name a couple.

Do you know where they got their name (without looking it up)? Someone asked me this question a few years ago. I didn't know.
