Oil filter location

Sorry for the stupid question but can someone tell me the location of the oil filter on a 2019 X1? Is it reached from under the hood or under the vehicle?

Hi Bakerman,

No, you don't. There are some flaps on the engine cover. I'm attaching the ISTA manual on how to do it and another video showing the process, just to complement what Reefy already told you.

Does anyone know what size torx bit is required to loosen the current oil filter housing center drain cap? (Making an assumption it's now torx on the X1 like it is now on the X2).

T55 for oil filter housing drain plug. 32 mm for the oil filter plastic housing.

Super appreciate that feedback. We've been stumped so far over on the X2 board regarding this question.
