LED headlights problem

Hi guys,

I have a 2017 X1 with LED headlights, and I believe they aren't as bright as they used to be. There isn't any condensation or scratch on it. Is that possible? I don't see any code or error related to headlights while scanning with ISTA or Bimmerlink.

Did anyone experience something similar? Or I'm just getting crazy? Haha . Can I go somewhere to measure the brightness of the LEDs and know if it's between tolerance?

Thanks,

Woooow! That is an incredible mod! Cheers!

I think it's too much for me, you know, but you confirmed that I'm not crazy, haha.

Probably my best option is to switch to the LCI headlights. I saw some users did that, but they mainly came from halogen, so the swap was very notorious.

Of course, the problem is the price. The new headlights are ridiculously expensive, so I'm not sure it pays off.

The LED headlights in ours cars make more or less light depending of the exterior luminosity. Read it with the light sensor

This means that headlights isnīt same bright in a city than one road without light.
I read it in the car manual, but I donīt know where.

I just read the "lights" section of the manual (page 97), and it doesn't say anything about the automatic brightness of the headlights .

The LCI headlight is good I think. The light intensity will be more reasonable but yeah the price is very high.

My modification costed me 2000 USD and months on investigation, wait for parts and built. The best part for it is that I can open the headlight set anytime I want to fix things. Of course taking it out is a nightmare 😊

The brightness is not changed I think because I could hardly see my light shadow at city and not believe it's a LED in dark street without light. It keeps changing it's aim at city.
