Hi all!

I’m new to this so please bear with me.

I bought a used X1 with the Harmon Kardon speaker system and noticed that the front passenger tweeter and speaker does not work.

What’s the best way to resolute this and has anybody come across this before?

I mean if its dead, pop the door card off and check into it. Replace as necessary

agreed with person above - you have to take the door panel off and insepct and replace if needed. No other way to troubleshoot until you get door panel off and take a look especially if the rear speakers/tweeters are working on that same side.

Garage List
If both are gone it might be the amp channel or wiring as tweeter and midtone are wired paralell in the door but use the same wire up and until it reaches the door. It splits inside the door card on the connector of the midtone.

Thank you all for replying.

I’ve checked the rear passenger doors and they’re definitely working, both tweeter and mid speaker.

Just the front passenger ones aren’t.

Glad you checked. You might also want to plug some random speaker into the connection to make sure the speaker is the issue.

And/or replace the speakers, looks like there are quite a few available on UK ebay
