BMW connected driver app.

Just wonder as I don't take collection until the 7th what the connected driver app allows me to do with the X2. My friend has a i3 and he can do wonders... I was wondering what the main features available are with the x2?

Cheers

Scott

I have a feeling it can be updated as a tracker. I got this little card as part of the paperwork saying please contact your insurance company as you might qualify for extra discounts due to the built in vehicle tracking. Still.. it's vague. If I ever get my car towed I'll be sure to look it up immediately .. but I don't see that happening any time soon.. haha.

Does it works most of the time in Canada? Our connected app in Hong Kong breaks down every few days, have to delete the app, reboot iDrive and download again, but only works for a few days, then it disconnect again. The dealer cannot solve the problem, some say is the server in BMW went wrong, not sure is it a worldwide problem!

so I am looking at my APP and is seems like yo have a lot more things displayed, is that a Canada or Europe thing versus USA or some service I don't have. I just ran through the settings and didn't see anywhere near the detail you are showing.
Thanks

Yikes I logged in too and I don't have as many options.. but perhaps that's the different between all the connected drive and plus and business version...

Yeah, over in the UK there is a lot less detail too.

The "tracker" only works when the ignition is off.

Our "myhonda" app allows us to track the honda while its in motion which is cool.

I have this app installed on my iPhone. I have an X2 in California and and X3 in Canada. Both cars show up in the app despite one being registered with BMWCA and the other with BMWUSA. I have the same information as adriang has posted.

Can someone tell me what the "schedule ventilation" does. Will the sunroof tilt, or fan work, or even AC? It's all very opaque in the owner's manual.

On my old 5 series it literally just turned the fan on. I used it to pre ventilate the hot air in the summer towards the end of the day. The problem is that it drains your battery, so doing it too much if you don't drive the car a lot in between just strains that battery. Interesting feature, but kinda useless to me, more downsides than bonuses.

As RR88 says, it just turns the fans on for a bit bringing fresh air in, nothing more.
