The last 6 months i've used this>Link with pics of my thread >http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=838860
And i need to say it works perfect and keeps the car longer clean and very easy to use !
My next detail project before summer will be the Sonax/Polymer Shield,up to 6 months of protection, but that we will see .
Anyway i expect my friend rjd598 on here (no doubt) our wax expert

In general I prefer a sealant on silver metallic paint vs wax. Reason being wax mutes the flake vs enhancing it. Any good polymer sealant like Sonax will work and last longer than wax.

What are your goals for the car? Looks? Durability? IMO I don't believe there is one wax that will make ssII look the best. If it were a black car different story. Let us know what you are looking for exactly then we can suggest appropriate products. I could list 20 different products right now and they would all make your paint look great.

You'll get a lot of different answers but look into blackfire, Wolfgang, and pinnacle products

So many options. I've been really happy with Meguiars NXT gen tech 2.0.
I like how it goes on, comes off and it lasts a long time. I love the way it smells too, kinda makes waxing fun.

One of my favorites for metallics.
http://www.detailersdomain.com/1Z-ei...-Wax_p_72.html

And get a detailer spray to upkeep the shine in between sealant/wax applications
http://www.detailersdomain.com/Sonax...0ml_p_890.html
http://www.detailersdomain.com/1Z-ei...-Wax_p_71.html

This is my Raptor after applying Glanz. The metallics looked like they wanted to jump off the paint. I love it.

I'd highly recommend Menzerna Powerlock. As mentioned before, a general rule of thumb in the detailing community is sealant to make light colors pop, a carnauba wax in increase depth on dark.

Meguiars NXT is not a good product imo.

I like Gtechniq and Swisswax.
After changing my AW E92 M3 to SS II E92 M3, I am interested in this topic as well

sealant always comes first. sealant is much more durable than a wax. adding a wax on top of a sealant is only for looks since it won't last on top of a sealant for too long. the rest of your process is right, but you don't necessarily need to wash after you're done claying

Perfect thanks a lot , one more question do I need to use a machine to wax the car or can I just do it with my hands

Use a foam applicator pad. Machine gets you more coverage and shortens the time but not necessary at all
