Bloody paint chips...
Hi everyone
I love my BMW but one thing I am getting really sick of is the bloody chips in the paint on the bonnet and front bumper from going on the Perth freeways. They have so much crap on them and the number of trucks now going up and down because of the new hospital in Murdoch. It gives you the sh*ts!! The car is 7 months old and done 7000 km and the front has been peppered with little marks, two big chips on the bonnet and now 3 chips on a side panel near the headlight/bonnet. Bought a Chipex paint repair kit from the UK for $100 and that at leasts hides the big ones OK. Seriously thinking of a clear 3M Ventureshield bra ($1,000) - anyone else done that? I feel better now - had to get that out |

Of course clear bra it. There is no question here. Had all of mine clear bra'd immediately after I took delivery. Beat money ever spent.
After getting the bra, I've hit tyre debris twice and a piece of wood. No damage was sustained by my bumper. That right there got my money's worth Two of mine were lucky but one of them got 2 rock chips driving to the shop because of a truck on the highway. |
