Unfortunately it is not possible to activate Fullscreen on ENTRYNAV2 units which you have.

You can't. Full Screen on ENTRYNAV2 is not supported.

Hi everyone, i am trying to install the MMI box on my F48, when i remove the HU, it seems like there is no slack in the wires, so it doesnt come out. Any tips on this?

Do I need to unplug the screen first?

Best would be to unplug quadlock first and then all the other plugs, you can also pull it a little bit forward - wires will come from the bottom and then you will have more space to unplug other. Don't be scared of this.
I've done this procedure many times when retrofitting NBT EVO ID6 headunit in F48 model.

Thank you so much, i did remove the head unit, its come out a lot, i am afraid that it wont fully come out and i dont have enough space to remove the connectors. Is there any video around removing the other wires of the headunit?

Do I need to remove entire center trim?

Sorry for the double post.

For what its worth, i was able to pull out the HU to the end but i did get a bit stuck, i have big hands and there is no way i can remove all those other cables and put them back in without taking the HU out. There just isnt enough space and/or slack. probably gonna pay someone to get it done. If anyone has references near Seattle/Eastside, please let me know.

You can check newtis.info what has to be done to remove the headunit in your car. Always helpful.

Thanks I found the info, the main problem was it required me to disconnect the central armrest console as well. It goes beyond what i am comfortable with with respect to removing trim :| . Thanks for your help, if only i had 3 more inches of slack. I am actually unhappy with BMW for having such high variances in cable length and slack.

Thanks. But I compared 2 cafd files - one from hu_entrynav2 and another from NBT - the only difference is navigation and tts\speech recognition. So I flashed NBT to 20-03-540, but have the same issue. I think BMW made this as a feature, not the bug

I was hoping to receive clarification on the answer to this question. I have a 2018 BMW X1 with no navigation, 6.5" screen, most up-to-date program software though.

I would ideally like to activate some sort of navigation/have the ability to enable CarPlay without changing out by head unit but am open to both ideas (depending on costs). Thank you!

You need to check if you have WiFi antenna connector in the headunit.
If yes, then it is possible to add it.
