I think all 992 models get the wide body treatment now.

I'm going to keep my S a little longer and see if California gets their head out of their ass in the next year.

Good luck finding ANY 911's or 718's in CA at present. They just don't exist due to the chip shortage.

this article explains the test: 1 - basically the cars have to do a 3rd gear pull from 30mph on a set distance 2- the test does not allow for kickdowns 3- pdk in its standard form, like most auto trans, will initiate a kickdown if you put your foot to the floor. 4- therefor with pdk cars, to complete the test they have to go at 1/2 throttle or something like that (max acceleration without initiating a kickdown). the car cannot even reach redline before completing the test distance by doing it this way. 5- manual cars start in 3rd @30mph, and go wide open throttle. it reaches close to redline.

so it looks like someone removed the wing on the GT3... to me this looks better than the touring option since you have a subtle ducktail.

This whole sound issue will only amplify (see what I did there) efforts to have the State of California create and to deploy automatic sound sampling detectors, complete with a camera that reads the license plate, and picture of the driver. The system will be totally autonomous and will be yet another way to generate revenue for the state. Call me cra,cra...but I bet they will do this at some point. The access to design engineering for items such as this is now so easy and quick to get to market.
From various news sources it appear California is a state which is poorly run, and more seriously is entering into yet another very serious drought cycle - and looks to tax as many things as possible too. I was born and raised in SoCal - left years ago, and live where water is very plentiful. We bought our house here in Oregon in 2020, while I do miss many aspects of California - the high, high cost of living and overall having so much crowding and competition for access to everything are things I do not miss. Thank you, Merlin
